Mission statement

Working in partnership with parents and community, the Great Oaks Academy mission is to become one of the finest K-8 schools in the country. We offer a challenging, character-based education through a rigorous curriculum with high academic and social expectations. Our school prioritizes the academic program and instructional time so each student reads, computes, and writes at of above grade level. We expect our students to master basic skills and realize their full academic potential in preparation for higher education and adulthood.

Belief statement

Students will value learning and being respectful, responsible, and accountable for their actions. Our school environment will reflect consistency and cooperation. There will be positive, safe, caring atmosphere among staff, parents, and students where everyone is treated with respect.

The staff models positive support, fairness, and consistency. They use assessment and communication to continually improve.

Our goal is to challenge individual students and to encourage quality performance, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills by utilizing a variety of teaching styles.
