Great Oaks Academy is proud to offer an outstanding full-day Kindergarten program! Our program includes Open Court reading and language arts instruction, Lucy Calkins writing, Saxon math, science and social studies. Great Oaks students’ will also participate in monthly moral focus activities which encourage students to become outstanding young individuals. Our students benefit from a day filled with enjoyable learning activities which include reading, singing, movement and hands-on activities designed to enhance your child’s education.
Kindergarten students will participate in art, music, physical education, library/technology and Spanish classes once per week. Field trips are taken within the neighborhood to give students an idea of the surrounding community and by bus to boost their understanding of ideas being taught. If needed, after-school child care is offered by Tee Tee’s Place at the school. In addition, there are after-school activities/clubs offered to students throughout the year. Kindergarten students at Great Oaks Academy are encouraged to explore the many wonders school has to offer!
