Great Oaks is proud to say that every year each of our elementary and middle school students participates in a service project. We allow each grade to choose what charity they want to support.
Kindergarten is helping our neighboring church with a food drive. They are collecting cans of food not only within our school, but asking family and neighbors to participate as well.
3rd grade is helping a local animal shelter by supplying food for the animals. This particular shelter does not put down the animals, so donations are very important to help keep the animals healthy while waiting for a new home.
5th grade is partnering with a local nursing home. They are writing letters and will visit several times throughout the school year.
It is wonderful to see our students so willing to open their hearts to help others.
